I have decided to take a vow of silence for the next three to four hours, potentially even for the rest of the day. I haven’t said anything since 4:15PM. I’m also not listening to music or watching any videos. If you have a TikTok that you want me to see, you’re going to have to reenact it for me. The first twenty minutes of silence made me very itchy, but then I realized that there are so many beautiful sounds to be heard when I am not running my mouth about something. I’m going to go on a silent walk and see where the sounds of nature take me.

I went on a very long walk this morning, and it was so windy that it whipped one of my braids around and hit me right in the eye. That seemed less like the wind and more like a mean ghost. Then, I went to the gym for another insane bodyweight conditioning day. The first five minutes consisted of alternating between burpees and outdoor sprints, followed by 30 minutes of jumping around in one way or another. We had another five minute round of sprinting and burpees, and then finished with a few minutes of half burpees.

The intensity of this workout may have been what led to my need for silence. I need to work on my mental fortitude if I’m going to win this competition. My mind tells me to quit long before my body fails me, and I need to fix that. Maybe at the end of these quiet hours I will be able to move things with my mind like Matilda. There’s really only one way to find out what I am capable of 🤐

I hope everyone’s weekend was lovely and full of joy! I hope the week ahead brings you a lot of laughter and love and warmth. Try to bring joy to the people around you, and remember that you are capable of whatever you put your mind to.

Be well, Dawgs ❤️

I came here to tell you that you inspired me to jump in a bounce house and I even sat in a ball pit for an unreasonably long time for an adult but it was very relaxing
